Esthetician Summer Break

Esthetician Summer Break

When was the last time you took a break?

I know it can be so hard to pull away and unplug from work but trust me, it is essential. Not only for your mental health but for how you perform as an esthetician.

This was hard for me at the beginning of my career, I was so tempted to keep working and I felt this obligation to my clients.

Here are a few of my top tips when it comes to deciding to take a break and how to approach finally taking your much-deserved vacation -

+ Get creative! Taking a vacation doesn’t mean you have to go on a hiatus for weeks, it can be as simple as taking a half-day.

Seriously, future you will THANK YOU for this. Even just taking half the day off of work to go to the pool and catch a tan will go a long way. In fact, if you haven’t taken a full vacation before and completely unplugged, I recommend easing into it with this tip!

+ Think of it as saying YES to yourself.

Yes, it’s hard to tell your clients you are taking some time to yourself and you may feel like you’re letting them down. But trust me, you’re not. You’re basically saying yes to yourself and prioritizing your self-care so that you can come back ready to take care of them, better than ever!

+ Remember to live your life for you… not for your clients.

Your clients will get over it, they take vacations too. At the end of the day, you have to fill your own cup before you can fill someone else’s. And ultimately, this will bring more happiness and success long-term!

Now go take your summer vacay, you deserve it!

xoxo
