This or That: Hydrodermabrasion Edition

This or That: Hydrodermabrasion Edition

Time for a facial upgrade!
One of my favorite services to perform as an esthetician is hands-down hydrodermabrasion (also known as hydroderm or hydrofacial.) It’s such a simple yet effective treatment that will leave your client feeling radiant and fresh.
If you’re not familiar with this treatment, it’s one of the best ways to exfoliate the skin, remove dead skin cells, improve overall skin texture and tone while also infusing and hydrating the skin with little to no downtime. (So it’s no surprise that clients are knocking on the door requesting it!)
This is definitely a service I HIGHLY recommend that you offer if you don’t already. It also pairs really nicely with other services that we offer like LED, Cosmedix peels, oxygen dome and nano infusion.
As an esthetician, you want to give your clients the best experience possible so that they come back for more, and that means using the right tools. So, if you’re wondering what hydrodermabrasion machine you should be using to do so, I’ve got you covered in this post.
I’ve narrowed down my top 2 choices when it comes to hydrodermabrasion machines, one of them being a bit more cost-effective and the other requiring a higher investment.
Let’s break it down -
  • More cost-effective (while still being a reputable product known for its quality.)
  • Includes an Oxygen sprayer (this helps to inject oxygen and nutrients into the skin more deeply.)
  • Great option for plastic tip or diamond tip (reach deeper into the surface of your skin for enhanced results.)
  • Friendly for all skin types (and treats everything from fine lines, pigmentation and congestion, to breakouts and scarring.)
  • High level service from Dermajem, 1-1 training and business strategy sessions available
  • Warranty
  • Marketing support
  • Financing available
  • Has unique technology and a superior designed diamond tip hand piece that supports both wet and dry microdermabrasion.
  • Maintenance program (to ensure your unit is running properly and providing the most optimal results.)
  • Variety of diamond tip selections
  • Rapid improvements and results
  • Friendly for all skin types (and treats everything from fine lines, pigmentation and congestion, to breakouts and scarring.)
  • Overall provides an effective and upgraded facial experience
  • One year limited warranty
P.S. I personally have used the Biotherapeutic Bio-trinity for the last 10 years. You can read my thoughts on this specific product and why I love it so much here
This is such a beneficial treatment to offer to your clients for a total facial rejuvenation and know that both of these options will help you provide them a great experience. These machines are both effective and efficient, it’s truly a matter of your preferences and your budget.
While the hydroderm can be done as often as every 10-14 days, you’ll find that most clients turn this into a normal part of their skincare regime and return every 3-4 weeks.
I hope that this post has helped clear up any confusion as far as which machine to opt for in your treatment room. Time to GLOW!
xoxo
